EDUCATONAL EXCURSION –Statue of Unity – 26th Dec 2024
Students look forward to the day of leisurely time with friends and teachers. It is the day of general merriment and bonding with classmates. Students of 3rd and 4th grade of Baroda High School –Bagikhana went to an education excursion to Statue of Unity on 26th Dec 2024. Students were thrilled to see the world’s tallest Statue from their bus window and the first point of visit was the “Nutrition Park,” It is the World’s first technologically driven theme park envisioned and conceptualized by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the objective of inspiring children to eat healthy and understand the role of nutrition in their mental and physical growth. After this children savoured a delicious lunch and sought blessing of Lord Mahadev at Surpaneshwar Temple. Students then visited the mesmerizing “Butterfly Garden” where the guide showed them the life cycle of a butterfly in a live setup.
The next point of visit was the Cactus Garden. There are 30000 plants of 350 species spread across 20 acres of land. A grand architectural greenhouse – ecological habitat of nearly 400 national and international species of cacti and succulent plants was a sight to behold. The last point of visit was the Kamalam park where children got to learn the Indian name of Dragon fruit and its cultivation in Rann of Kutch. The video with special effects and lights about the nutritional benefits of Kamalam was an innovative way to learn science.
Ravishing landscape of SOU was an educational and learning opportunity for students to explore the nature’s wisdom. It was truly a day which children will cherish for their lifetime.
